I fulfill my creative urge by doing every craft I can get my hands on. I hate rules, recipes, and patterns for there is always more than one way to create something. Like I always say, it's an art, not a science.
Here are some of the best books I have recently read. If you are looking for fascinating reads, here you go:
Lies my Teacher told me by James W. Loewen
The Hemingses of Monticello by Annette Gordon-Reed
1491: New Revelations of the Americas Before Columbus by Charles Mann
The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson
The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin
The Sisters: the Sage of the Mitford Family by Mary S. Lovell
Can't Get Enough Of . . .
Buttercup squash.
I LOVE squash, which my husband can attest to. I love zucchini, crooked-neck squash, acorn squash, pumpkin, and especially buttercup squash.
I've also been a fan of this roasted or steamed, but recently I decided to put it on a flat bread pizza with fresh mozarella and goat cheese, and instantly my new favorite pizza was born.
